A two-day retreat using photography as a tool for transformation
We were taught to stay small.
Taught to take care of everyone else first. To not be too loud. Too funny. Too successful. Taught to apologize for taking up space. To be nice. To smile. The list goes on — and on.
And we learned it well. So well it stopped feeling like a lesson and started feeling like who we are. We built careers on it. Raised families on it. Held everyone and everything together with it — gracefully, quietly, without ever asking who was holding us.
Then we get to a certain point in our lives where a question rises up that won't be quieted: Who am I — underneath all of it?
If that question has found you, you are not alone. Every day, women are waking up to the feeling that there is more to life than what we've been told to be. And here's what we know: when we take time for ourselves, when we spend time in community with other women, when we slow down enough to hear our own voice again — we show up differently. We love more. We feel deeper. We finally take up the space we were always meant to.
That is what Witnessed is about.
For two days in the bluffs just outside Baraboo, Wisconsin, a small circle of women uses photography as a tool — not to take perfect pictures, but to practice seeing. (An iPhone is more than enough.) You'll slow down. Notice light. Notice what you're drawn to, and what that says about you. The camera becomes a mindfulness practice — a way of reflecting truths about yourself you've never taken the time to discover. And woven through it all: laughter, time in nature, and the easy company of like-minded women. The final assignment asks a question only you can answer: what is uniquely, undeniably you?
You are strong. You are beautiful. Now is your time.
You've spent years taking care of everyone else — and you're starting to wonder who takes care of you.
You know the version of yourself you perform for the world. You're curious about the one underneath.
You feel the weight of expectations that were never truly yours.
You want to be seen — not for the role you play, but for who you actually are.
You're drawn to the idea that photography could reveal something deeper.
You're ready to set down the roles that no longer fit — and step into a new chapter.
You'll arrive thinking the transformation is out there. By the end, you'll realize everything you were looking for was already inside you. Here's how the journey unfolds.
This retreat is intentionally limited to 10 women so the space stays intimate, supportive, and deeply personal. Join Witnessed for the full overnight experience or just the day — early bird pricing for the first 5 to register.
Early bird rate is available for the first 5 participants. After that, the day rate is $497 and the day + overnight is $794.
Limited to 10 women intentionally — so this stays small, intimate, and held. Questions about payment plans? Reach out.
You leave with a circle. Women who met you without the roles — friendships that begin in honesty and don't end when the retreat does.
You leave rested in a way sleep can't touch — because for two days, no one needed you to be the mother, the wife, the boss, the strong one. This is a retreat from the roles themselves.
And in that quiet, something becomes clear: they were only ever roles. Parts you've played. Not who you are. Once you see that, you can choose which ones to pick back up — and which ones to leave behind.
You leave with the courage to be seen as uniquely, undeniably you. Not the performance. You.
And you leave knowing the thing you came looking for was in you the whole time.
A circle. A clearer view. The courage to be seen.
Not at all. This is not a photography class. You just need a camera or a phone and a willingness to turn it inward. If you've never picked up a camera in your life, you're welcome here.
Any camera works — including your iPhone. The intention behind the shot matters infinitely more than the gear. We'll even teach you how to see differently regardless of what's in your hand.
Breakfast and snacks are provided on Saturday morning. You'll have time to grab lunch or dinner on your own — there are great spots nearby, and we build in plenty of time for it.
Yes! The day rate gets you full access to all sessions, the hike, and everything else. Many women prefer to have their own space at night — completely valid.
Maximum 10. This is fully intentional. You will know everyone's name. You will feel held. You will not get lost in a crowd.
Camera or phone, comfortable layers for an early morning hike, your journal if you like to write, and an open heart. A complete packing list is sent upon registration.
Reach out — let's talk. We never want money to be the reason someone doesn't show up for herself.
Spots are transferable up to 2 weeks before the retreat. Refunds available up to 30 days prior to the event. Reach out and we'll work something out.
Whether you're on the fence, need a payment plan, or just want to know if this is the right fit — reach out. I read every message personally.
Thank you for reaching out. I'll be in touch within 24–48 hours.
I'm so glad you're here.
