Creating valuable and engaging content and doing it frequently is so important.  If you have time to scroll you have time to create!  High-quality, valuable content not only attracts attention but also encourages sharing, further extending your reach. Spend some time identifying your target audience.  See them as individual people, what are their pain points, interests, and questions?  Create content that will help make their lives easier.  This is a great way to not only help your clients, but you will also begin to build trust and community.

Be active and engaging on social media, don’t just be a creeper.  Again, if you have to scroll you have time to create and comment! Don’t worry about what other people might think if you start commenting or posting more.  Most likely, your friends and family aren’t your ideal clients, and they most likely don’t care anyway!  Start by commenting on your ideal client’s posts or people you look up to. Social media is all about creating community!  It’s like going to your local coffee shop!

Leveraging network and collaborating is something that used to scare me. But it is so important to do so! Collaborating with others in your field or niche can introduce you to their audiences, helping you gain more visibility and credibility. Don’t be afraid to reach out to people!  That is what social media is all about! Look for opportunities to collaborate on projects, guest post on popular blogs, or participate in podcasts and interviews. 

5. Monitor and Adapt Your Strategy

The digital landscape is constantly changing, and what works today might not work tomorrow. Staying adaptable ensures you can continue to stand out!  Also, don’t get frustrated if you don’t see results right away.  It takes time commitment, frequency, and consistency! What my camera taught me about confidence — that therapy didn’t — is this:
Confidence isn’t about having it all together. It’s about being willing to be seen exactly as you are.

Every time someone steps in front of my lens, I get a front-row seat to a quiet kind of bravery. They might be nervous, self-conscious, stiff in the beginning. They might joke about their “bad side” or ask me to photoshop something away.

But then… something happens.

A laugh escapes. A breath deepens. A moment of presence sneaks in. And in that flash — that click — the realness comes through. The person, not the performance.

Confidence isn’t a pose. It’s presence.

Low-maintenance.
Self-sufficient.
Emotionally undemanding.

  • If I’m self-sufficient and low-maintenance, I’ll finally be loved.

These beliefs kept me emotionally safe as a child.
But as an adult woman trying to build a soulful life and business, they kept me small.

You’ve been carrying the emotional labor in your relationships.

Not just the logistics. Not just the to-do lists.
But the emotional weight of everything: keeping the peace, managing moods, holding space, soothing tension, softening your truth, and doing the invisible work to make sure everyone else feels okay.

That’s emotional labor. And it’s exhausting.

If you’re a woman over 40, chances are you’ve been doing it for decades—often without even realizing it. But now that you see it, now that you’re done with it… the question becomes: Now what?

Get Honest About What It’s Cost You

Before you can release emotional labor, you have to acknowledge the toll it’s taken.

Micro-Boundaries You Can Practice Today:
